Nokia 10: here’s everything we know so far

Nokia 10: here's everything we know so far

Nokia is usually the best at mid-range and low-cost phones, but every once in a while, it comes out with a top phone. We expect the Nokia 10 to be the company’s new best phone.

The Nokia 8.3 5G, the company’s first attempt at a 5G phone, was fine, but it didn’t really stand out. With the Nokia 10, hopefully the company will be able to show off some cool new camera tech or other great features.

This post is best used not as a hub for phone rumors, but as a record of all the news and leaks we’ve heard about the phone since 2019.

Nokia 10 release date and price

The latest report about when the Nokia 10 (or Nokia X60, as it might be called) will come out says that it will come out before November 11, 2021. However, it’s now 2022, and there’s still no sign of the phone.

But that was easy to believe because it fit with another report that said the phone wouldn’t come out until the second half of 2021. Previous stories about the release date have come and gone, and these are just the latest ones.

We’re now planning for a release in 2022.

The phone could be called the Nokia 10, but we’ve also heard that it could be called the Nokia X60, Nokia 9.2, or Nokia 9.3, which would be a better version of the Nokia 9 PureView, which was released at MWC 2019.

The Nokia 9 PureView cost $699, £549, or AU$980 when it came out, so we’d expect a new “better” phone to cost at least that much, if not more. Even so, we wouldn’t expect it to cost a lot more unless it’s a huge improvement over the old phone.

Nokia 10, Nokia X60, Nokia 9.1, Nokia 9.2 or Nokia 9.3?

The Nokia 10 is the name of the new phone because the Nokia 9 was the name of the one that came before it. But, as we’ve already said, we’ve heard a few different names for the brand’s new smartphone.

Since the brand has already released new G, C, and X lines, it’s likely that the Nokia 10 will have a letter before its number, and leaks point to a Nokia X60 and maybe even a Nokia X60 Pro.

There’s also the Nokia 9.1, which makes sense in a way since the company uses a decimal method to name its new smartphones. For example, the Nokia 7.1 was replaced by the Nokia 7.2.

flagship isn’t a whole new device; it’s just a slightly better version of the 9 PureView.

On the other hand, we’ve heard that Nokia could skip 9.1 and go straight to 9.2, which could be a name picked to make up for the long delay. We’ve even heard it called the Nokia 9.3, so you can call it what you want.

Nokia 10 / Nokia 9.3 leaks, rumors and news

We’ve heard that the phone that comes after the Nokia 9 PureView could have 5G. That would make sense, especially since many phones are now 5G, including the company’s own Nokia 8.3 5G.

We also heard that Nokia’s next top phone wouldn’t be shown at MWC 2020. This was so that it could have the high-end Snapdragon 865 processor, which the Nokia 9 didn’t have and which hurt it. The fact that MWC 2020 has been canceled kind of makes that point moot, though.

We’ve also heard that the next Nokia phone, which could be the Nokia 10, could have an under-screen selfie camera instead of one in a notch or lip. This is a high-end feature that might seem out of place on a Nokia phone unless it’s a really high-end device.

Since the Nokia 9 PureView is a good but not quite top-end phone, this device probably wouldn’t be a replacement for it. We’d expect a really cutting-edge flagship to have this ability.

A person who spoke to Nokia Power User about cameras said that the Nokia 9.2 PureView, as they call it, will have a very different camera setup than the Nokia 9, but they didn’t say how. There has been talk of a 108MP main camera and a total of five cameras on the back, so it looks like the phone could do well at taking photos.

Nokia Edge 2020 Smartphone

This seems to be Nokia’s best phone, and it is said to come with Android 11 right out of the box. Now, we all know that Google hasn’t released Android 11, and that it won’t do so until sometime in October of this year. So, if the news about Android 11 is true, the release will happen in the last few months of 2020. In addition to the software, the Nokia Edge 2020 will have all the best gear for 2020.

Specifications & Features

It is said that the Nokia Edge 2020 will have a 6.3-inch P-OLED FHD+ resolution display that takes up the whole front of the device. We get the newest Snapdragon 865, which comes with 8GB or 10GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. In terms of optics, the main camera will have three lenses and a 64MP sensor. On the front, there are rumors that it will have two cameras, with the main one being a 32MP shooter. The interesting thing about this is that the images show that the front camera setup is below the front display, like a front camera that is under the display.

It is said to come with a 4320 mAh battery that can be charged with a cord at 45W or wirelessly at 25W via Qi. It might have Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, A-GPS, BDS, NFC, GLONASS, and GLONASS units, as well as a 5G modem. Since the Snapdragon 865 does handle 5G, this is a reasonable thing to expect from a flagship phone in 2020. One can use the hybrid slot on the board to add up to 1TB of extra storage space. It will also have Gorilla Glass 6 on both the front and back. The whole thing will be held together by a shiny metal frame.

Price in India

Nothing about this phone is sure and official right now. We’ve only heard rumors, seen leaks, and seen models of something like this from Nokia. So, even if it comes out soon, we can expect it to cost about $900. This means that the Nokia Edge 2020 price in India could be around Rs. 64,499. Yes, this seems like a lot for a Nokia device, but if you look at the specs on this sheet, you can see that Nokia might go all out with this rumored device.

Release Date

In terms of when it will be released, Nokia’s new top phones won’t be out for a few more months, but there are already leaks and rumors about them. The Nokia Edge 2020 is likely to come out in November 2020.

More recently, we’ve heard that a flagship phone called the Nokia X60 could have a 200MP camera, a 6,000mAh battery, a 144Hz refresh rate for its curved screen, and a second screen on the back, all of which sound very amazing. But the story also said that the phone would run HarmonyOS instead of Android, which the company has denied.

Nokia X10 smartphone review: Reliable 5G phone with four cameras

Nokia is a challenge to other phone makers. It doesn’t have to have the fastest phones on the market, but it does have a policy that is as environmentally friendly as possible. This includes things like the fact that Nokia’s most expensive smartphones, the X series, take longer to get Android updates and don’t come with a charger.

The Nokia X10 is like the Nokia X20, but it’s not quite as good. There isn’t much difference between the two devices in terms of how they look, and many of their specs seem to be very similar as well. The official price difference is 80 Euros, or about $95, and the Nokia X10 costs 319 Euros, or about $378. This puts it in the middle price band for smartphones.
