Best time to visit
The best time to visit the Kashmir Great Lakes is from July to August, when the flowers and greenery are in full bloom. This is the best time to go on a trek through the lakes. In June, the snow melts, revealing a vibrant carpet of colors. During this window, the weather is also quite pleasant.

Temperature at Kashmir Great Lakes Trek The daytime temperature is between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius, and the nighttime temperature is between 3 and 4 degrees Celsius.
Important Note:
Please ensure that your travel plans include a day off in case of bad weather or political unrest on the trek. All of this is entirely dependent on the circumstances in Kashmir. If a buffer day is used, you will be required to pay Rs. 1800 per day.
Things to carry
You will be required to sign a waiver and obtain a medical certificate from a doctor 15 days before your Trekmunk adventure Additionally, you must upload your ID to the website. In order to obtain the permit from the tourism department, which only issues permits 10 days or earlier prior to the trek date, we require these documents from you.
Itinerary
Day 1:
Brief and in-depth itinerary How to get to base camp: Reach Shitkadi Shitkadi is a lovely, small town a few kilometers beyond Sonamarg. It will take approximately four hours to reach Shitkadi, which is a beautiful drive. By evening, you will be at the campsite.
Note: You will be picked up from the Tourist Reception Center, near Dal Gate 1, between 1 and 2 p.m. The approximate cost of a cab with five to six seats is Rs. 4,000, which is split among the other trekkers.

Day 2 : D 3 of the Sonamarg to Nichnai via Shekdur trek, Day 4 of the trek from Nichnai to Vishnusar Lake: D 5: Trek from Vishnusar to Gadsar via the Gadsar Pass and Kishansar Lake Day 6 of the trek from Gadsar to Satsar: Day 7 of the trek from Satsar to the Gangabal twin lakes: Day 8: Drive to Srinagar and trek to Naranag from Gangabal. Day buffer HOW TO GET HERE We can get you a taxi from the Srinagar pickup location; however, the cost of this service is not included in the package. The trekkers participating in the trek can split the cost of the cab. Before the trek begins, we will establish a Whatsapp Group to facilitate communication and share information about transportation. Similar arrangements will be made for the drop off at Srinagar following the trek.
The price of a one-way cab for a Tavera or similar vehicle fluctuates, but it typically costs around Rs. 4000.
How to Get to Kashmir’s Great Lakes Trek:
By air, Srinagar Airport is easily accessible to the nation’s major cities. From Delhi, Jammu, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and Kolkata, there are frequent flights. Sonamarg is about 70 kilometers from Srinagar airport.
Sonamarg can be reached by road via the National Highway 1D from other parts of the country. The bus stop in Srinagar is about 87 kilometers away from Sonamarg, and there are enough public buses that go from Srinagar to Sonamarg. By rail, the Srinagar Bus Stand is well connected to Delhi, Chandigarh, and Jammu. The most convenient stop is the Jammu Tawi Railway station, from which numerous buses and taxis travel to Srinagar and then Sonamarg.
Accommodations during the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek: On the trek, all tent lodging will be shared by two people.

You will be accompanied on the trek by a knowledgeable and skilled guide. The group will have a lot of experience and be well-prepared for any emergency.

All of the Trek’s meals are included. During the trek, our high-altitude chefs will prepare vegetarian Indian meals. Every day, you will receive a packed lunch that you will need to keep in your lunch box.
Safety gear for camping: We guarantee the quality of all camping supplies, including sleeping bags, dining tents, sleeping tents, toilet tents, and mattresses. We will provide safety equipment like an oxygen cylinder, a medical kit, and an oximeter. If at all possible, we encourage you to bring your own sleeping bags.
Forest Camping Fees and Permits for Trekking:
We will cover all applicable trekking permits, camping fees, forest entry fees, and other costs only for Indian clients. If they are not mentioned, these costs must be paid by foreigners.
