Major traffic delays after 15-car accident on Brisbane motorway

A crash involving up to 15 cars has caused major traffic delays heading into the Brisbane CBD this morning. 

The major pile-up happened on the Pacific Highway northbound at Greenslopes around 6am amid wet weather.

Six injured people were taken to hospital.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said six injured people had been taken to hospital, while seven others had been assessed for their injuries.

One is understood to have been trapped in their car with a knee injury.

Commuters heading into Brisbane have been warned to expect long delays as a result of the accident, which has blocked the Juliette Street exit at Greenslopes.

Motorists are being diverted off at Gaza Road.
