So because of this to stop the ruination of the place, the government removed these tents and temporary stays. So after trekking at the top you can do your camping but after taking permission from the government.

In the month of may government ordered cafes as well as food joints to leave the place cause it comes under the forest land and carrying out commercial activities is banned. It was the order issued by the high court. So along with them tents were also removed because in one way or another they were affecting the beautiful ecological system of that place. To safeguard this place if you want to camp there then it is only possible after the forest department grants permission. Also you are not allowed to throw any kind of garbage there, all that waste you have to carry back. For ecological development and maintaining cleanliness all these rules are to be followed. 

How to reach at kheerganga trek 

For starting this trek we have to reach at Barshaini which is around 23 km from Kasol for that you can take the help of local transports. But if you want to use the airways then Kullu Manali airport at bhuntar is the closest airport near Kasol. But these flights are not present at regular intervals. Also, weather is a major player in case of airways. And then the Chandigarh airport is around 300 km away. If you opt for a train then joginder railway station is perfect but for Kasol it will take 4 hours more. From Delhi it will take around 12 hours if you choose to go by road. Whichever mode of transport you use it completely depends on you. You can go through different routes for trekking from barshaini which is around 10 km from kheerganga trek. The Kalga route is one of them and it will give you amazing pictures because of the picturesque landscapes. From the bridge you have to hike up towards the kalga village which will later connect you to the main trek. But as in this route we have to cross the dense forest chances are high that we will get lost so you can go with a travel guide it would be safe. There are two more popular routes that will help you to reach the kheerganga trek. 

Kheerganga trek and parvati valley

Parvati valley is also known as Amsterdam of India so no doubt it’s one of the hotspots when it comes to Himachal Pradesh. Kheerganga trek is located in this valley so it is amazing too. It is believed that Lord shiva meditated here for many years and his naga sandhu form emerged here. When he opened his eyes looking at everything he became mesmerized and named this valley after Goddess Parvati. And again for many years God Shiva and Goddess Parvati spent their time here so it is very pious. If God got peace here then we humans will surely get peace. Also there is another legend about Manikaran which is about how Goddess Parvati lost her earrings and asked Lord Shiva to find her earrings and finally how sheshnaag helped them and Goddess Parvati got her earring back. Malana, another place near this trek, is known for its Greek history. Still the Greek system is followed at this place. Even the local people have facial features that match with Romans.
