Jobs Responsibilities
- The USA Truck Delivery Event Manager will have a wide range of responsibilities to ensure efficient and timely deliveries throughout the United States. Some key responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop and implement effective dispatch strategies for our fleet of trucks.
- Manage a team of dispatchers to ensure all shipments are scheduled correctly and shipped on time.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure shipments are delivered on time.
- Monitor delivery schedules, track shipments, and provide timely updates to all parties involved.
- Analyze delivery data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Operations, and Customer Service, to ensure smooth delivery of merchandise.
- Continually evaluate and improve shipping processes for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards, including DOT regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Manage relationships with operators, suppliers, and other service providers to ensure optimal performance and profitability.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the dispatch team, including coaching, mentoring, and mentoring.
- Collectively, the US Truck Dispatch Event Manager will play an important role in keeping our transportation coordination running smoothly and efficiently, and will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while maximizing the profitability of our operations.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for the USA Trucks Event Manager role include:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping or trucking operations is required. Experience managing a team of dispatchers is also preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Candidates must have a solid understanding of shipping strategy, transportation logistics, and regulatory compliance. They must possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A strong commitment to customer service, safety and quality is also important. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch software, and GPS tracking systems will be an added advantage.
