A man is lucky to be alive after he fell onto railway tracks and was narrowly missed by an oncoming train in Sydney's south.
Emergency services were called to Penshurst train station just after 9am this morning after a man in his 40s suffered a medical episode and fell onto the train tracks.
"The train was coming into the station at quite high speed and the way he fell was between the carriages and he ended up laying alongside the platform and railway tracks," NSW Ambulance Inspector Shane Whittaker said.
