Fire the Headhunters

If you hired a headhunter to find a CEO for a major corporation and he came up with Obama, Clinton, and McCain, wouldn’t you fire the headhunter? Why can’t we do better for our country?

Any of the three would do a very good job in some peoples’ opinion. My choice isn’t going to make it out of the primary, but I still think McCain vs. Obama represents the best two choices in the general election since I started voting in a long time ago. I mean, compared to 2004 our choices this time around look like
Washington and Jefferson. Compared to Washington and Jefferson they’re like the 3 stooges, except much more dangerous.

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were in “politics” for the sake of their country. These guys are in it for themselves.

It’s counter intuitive, but the great ones wanted their country to be great and were not concerned with their own status. Today’s politicians use the fate of the nation to further their own ambition. And the selfish politicians pale in comparison to the selfless patriots.

Paradoxically, people who put others first, finish ahead of those who put themselves first. Not just in politics, everything.
Maybe we should just fire ourselves. We are our own “headhunters” through our own process of democracy. As Churchill said,

Democracy is the worst form of government ever, except for all the others that have been tried from time-to-time.

Or maybe we need this guy: Leadership You Can Trust. Hey it worked in Spaceballs. Use The Schwartz. Great. Another 21st century socialist (same crap in a new and improved wrapper).

You are 100% correct. I’d never hire either one of them for the job. Maybe that is how the US should approach the job of the President and Vice President. Sometimes I think it is just a popularity contest anyway.
