    For the $300 million spent in the past decade on various so- called “leap ahead” small-arms research-and-development programs with nothing fielded or planned for five to 10 years, 230,000 HK416s could have been fielded, or 273,000 M4s could have been upgraded with HK416 upper receivers with little or no logistical impact.

    I still think the government model 1911 is the best. It should be the standard issue instead of the beretta, the .45 has more stopping power.

    I like the M4A1 carbine the best, dunno why it just looks cool I guess.

    Agreed M4 Carbine is the best. I really like the new Daniel Defense M4. Its about as close to the real deal as you can get w/o spending crazy money.
