It is always better to use a tutor than to try and tutor your own children. I found this out when I tried to help my own daughter. She had a science test and we went over it for over 1 hour and that was only 1/2 of what she had to study. She went to school took the test. The next day the teacher asked her did she have any help with the test, of course she said her dad helped her. The teacher said next time as him not to help. I was devastated.
